Lantern Festival and the Streaks of Fire

The Chinese Lantern Festival has come and gone. It's on the 15th day of the lunar new year and includes fireworks and of course lanterns. You have to leave Taipei to get a good look at the lanterns, but fireworks are easily heard in every neighborhood.

Thankfully the nice people over at the Taiwan Group on Flickr took some interesting shots. The "streaks of fire" photo posted above was taken by James Feng and was a 10-second time lapse shot. Well done, James.
